Sempiternus - Into darkness 3

Unleashing the scream of the truly terrified Anna began to fight back. Fists flew out erratically. Not a single one landed, there was only air. She couldn't breathe for the fear. What was it? Why was it toying with her?
Suddenly light exploded from to her right. A tiny little ray revealing a nightmare. She screamed again at the matted black hair. The glowing green eyes. The skeletal face and dark smudges. Then the face fell backwards laughing so hard it could barely breath and Anna paused, turning a bright pink.
"Dave! I swear I am going to kill you!" She screeched lunging for the girl.
A wrestling match ensued with flailing arms and kicking legs. She was seriously going to beat the ever living crap into her for doing this. Pinning her tight she poked her in the ribs until Dave was crying for mercy. Tears ran down her face as she tried to avoid Anna's hands totally in vain.
Both girls stopped dead when another voice joined in the laughter. Together they turned to look further into the openings darkness. Anna turned to Dave but she shrugged.
In the light a being approached, the top half of her face was in shadow the light glinting off her unseen eyes and her mouth stretched inhumanly wide to display suddenly razor sharp teeth. "That looked fun. Do you want to play?" She taunted.
Together the girls screamed, clutching each other as they scrambled up and sprinted for the mouth of the cave, not even pausing as they leapt over the ledge and into the ravine.
Water enveloped them in its frigid embrace tumbling them down river unable to surface. Once, twice they drowned, their bodies like rag dolls to natures whim. When Anna awoke Dave was once more, no where to be seen. It wasn't a problem though as the psychic always knew where to find her. If she wanted too. She still hadn't found that headdress either and that was really starting to wrankle. Now to add to that her clothes were a mess! Patting at them futilely all she managed to do was drain some of the water, and a fish. Which flopped in indignation back to whence it had come.
Well, now what she thought looking around her at all the foliage. Left or right? There was only one way to determine the outcome. Shutting her eyes Anna spun fast, stopping on a dime, then began walking before she opened her eyes. Annnnd landed straight back in the water. Nice.
